Alcatel to Set Up WiMAX Test Center in Taiwan

According to Taiwanese newspaper reports, Alcatel will establish a WiMAX test center in Taiwan with an investment of NT$100 million. Currently, Alcatel in Taiwan is providing test equipment to the Chungshang Institute of Science and Technology and First International Telecom, which plans to deploy 53 WiMAX base stations in Taipei with an investment of NT$1 billion.
